Indian Laurel

Rome's second Emperor Tiberius wore wreaths of laurel whenever there was stormy weather because it was widely believed that Laurel trees were immune to lightning strikes, affording protection to those who brandished it.

Due to their dense canopy, these trees provide excellent shade and privacy when planted strategically. Air Purification: Indian Laurel Trees have the ability to filter pollutants from the air, making them valuable for improving air quality in urban areas.

Rubber tree

Like other plants, they absorb carbon dioxide and release oxygen, but rubber plants are particularly efficient in this process. They also remove harmful toxins such as formaldehyde and benzene from the air, making them a smart choice for improving indoor air quality.

The rubber tree takes between seven and ten years to deliver the first harvest. Harvesters make incisions across the latex vessels, just deep enough to tap the vessels without harming the tree's growth, and the latex is collected in small buckets. This process is known as rubber tapping.

Oxygen production:

  • Like any tree, it does contribute to oxygen production through photosynthesis.

  • It is generally highlighted as one of the trees that produces exceptionally high amounts of oxygen.

  • It is more important to note that all trees contribute to the production of oxygen, and all are important to the health of our planet.

Therefore, while Santalum album does produce oxygen, its significance is more closely tied to its unique and valuable aromatic properties.
